The PMSOL contains 44 occupations that will help Australia’s economy recover after COVID-19. The list is based on the National Skills Commission’s expert advice and consultation with Commonwealth agencies. Employer-sponsored nominations and visa applications for PMSOL-listed professions will be prioritized. Most other skilled occupation listings will remain available, but PMSOL vocations will be prioritized. The list is not permanent, and priority occupations may shift as Australia recovers from the pandemic. The Ministry of Education and the National Skills Commission will continue to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the Australian labor market and analyze the country’s skill requirements as they change and new data sources become available
